The Project
St George’s Park is the English Football Association’s national football centre (NFC) built on a 330-acre site in Straffordshire. The purpose build centre is a base for all coaching and development work undertaken by the FA, offering all 28 of England’s national football teams a facility to train and prepare.
The facilities boast 12 world-class training pitches, both grass and artificial surfaces, state-of-the-art hydrotheraphy suites, gyms and video analysis amenities. The centre was built in 2012.
Our Work
As part of a scheme to extend existing car parks at the £105m football training centre, a new durable and vibrant surface was required.
As a high-profile site, home to England’s 28 national teams, pre-agreed security measures were set between all parties. Our experience gained on similar projects and professionalism ensured our client’s trust and peace of mind throughout.
Our teams, specialists in laying coloured asphalt, used 80 tonnes of Ulticolour in ‘Natural Quartzite’ for carparks and footpaths, using pavers allocated for lighter material to achieve the highest standard of finishes.
Results & Achievements
The results: attractive, coloured footpaths and carparks to compliment the training centre’s manicured grounds safely, on time and to budget.
