Toppesfield is the latest organisation to support the Worshipful Company of Paviors’ charitable and educational efforts by becoming its Gold sponsor for 2018.
A City of London Livery company dating back to 1276, the Paviors aim to promote the craft of paving through its outreach programmes and fellowship.
Last year the Paviors raised over £110k, the vast majority of which was used to support a number of construction charities and trusts that help to provide young people with training and qualifications and enable them to work on construction sites, as well as assistance in placing these individuals into employment. This included the London Construction Academy and the Construction Youth Trust.
Individuals supported are often located in ‘hard to reach areas’ of London, many have faced huge challenges in their lives and need extra support in kick-starting their careers.
The Paviors also helps to provide the future leaders of engineering and technical design, from all kinds of academic backgrounds, with scholarships and support through their studies.
Matthew Pryor, Managing Director of Toppesfield said “Toppesfield’s support will help to ensure that the Worshipful Company of Paviors is able to continue its invaluable work within the construction industry.
Toppesfield is a company with people at its core and we strive to offer opportunity and training for those starting out in the industry and invest in the continuous development of all of our team members. Our values as a business closely match those of the Paviors’ and we are thrilled to be able to play our part in filling the construction industry skills gap.”
