Completion:
2019
The Project
Working on behalf of ID Verde for Derby City Council as part of a large regeneration scheme in the local area. Toppesfield surfaced the new multiuse games area and tennis court at Darley Fields. Due to the purpose of these areas, it was essential that these were perfectly level, and so a laser paver was used for this application to ensure compliance with SAPCA (Sports and Play Construction Association) specification. SAPCA codes of practice are put together by expert member groups, for example the tennis court document was authored with assistance from LTA (Lawn Tennis Association).
Our Work
Working over two visits, the first saw Toppesfield successfully deliver binder course to a 2,000m2 set of tennis courts, followed by Ultisport Tennis 6 surface course. Toppesfield’s team of skilled operatives used a laser paver, ensuring that the material was delivered to a tolerance within 3mm.
The second visit saw Toppesfield surface the multiuse games area. The 1,975m2 area used a layer of binder course, followed by Ultisport MUGA surface course. Again, a laser paver was used to ensure that the delivery was to a tolerance within 3mm.
Results & Achievements
- Delivered Safely
- On time
- Delivered to a tolerance far less than 3mm
