The Project
Barratt David Wilson Homes commenced building a new housing development 15 minutes from Chelmsford Essex, in Hullbridge. The development, which comprises over 500 new houses, is in an ideal location for London commuters and is set to boost the local economy. The development also focused on changing the local infrastructure around the entrance to the site to support the increased traffic flow generated by the development.
Our Work
Toppesfield were contracted to deliver several phases of surfacing works for the ongoing construction of the new development. Initial works were the construction of new access roads and a roundabout to the entrance of the site, followed by the construction on carriageways, footpaths and vehicle crossovers. Toppesfield will continue on site to deliver roads, driveways and footpaths throughout the development.
Fixed ironworks impeded the paver on a stretch of new road. Toppesfield’s team of skilled operatives hand laid 120 tonnes of material over the areas, raising it enough for the job to be completed by machine.
