The Project
Due to the development of Sheffield’s centre and university, we supported Winvic on the development of 237 build-to-rent apartments, spaces for retailers, cafes and restaurants and an undercroft car park. The development regenerated a site that has been unoccupied for many years. The construction programme was designed to accommodate the environmental constraints associated with the site’s proximity to an existing watercourse, neighbouring residential buildings and local businesses.
Our Work
Working under tight restrictions in a two-story underground car park Toppesfield delivered over 2,000 square meters of car park, footpath and access road.
Due to height restrictions, material was tipped into dumpers in limited space outside the area, before carefully manoeuvring around the car park. We used a mixture of hand and machine lay, with hand lay being used around iron works.
We worked closely with the team at Winvic and their wider supply chain in the careful planning of the project to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality works were delivered.
