On 13th December another key milestone was achieved in the M1 J19 improvements project when the new A14 to M1 North link road was opened to traffic for the first time.
The new link road is another step to relieve congestion at the junction, improve road safety and improve journey reliability.
The link road is open three months ahead of schedule, which is a testament to the focused team work taking place on this project, and enables the commencement of the next phase of the project.
