We are delighted to announce the arrival of Mark Salmon, Finance Director.
Mark joins Toppesfield from Access Group, a leading business management software company. His role as Group Financial Controller oversaw huge growth in turnover from £6m to £70m in his 10 years with them. This included aiding the business through two private equity sales and due diligence and integration of over 30 acquisitions. Mark replaces Gale Pryor, who has been with the company since inception and is leaving the firm to pursue other interests.
Mark has joined the company at a key phase of its expansion, with Toppesfield seeing its revenues doubling year on year. The company has recently won a range of new projects including contracts from Skanska Construction for the M1 Junction 19 improvements and from Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering for work on the A421 at Milton Keynes. These projects are contributing to the company growing to an annual turnover in the region of £80 million for the current year.
Toppesfield Chief Executive and founder, Matthew Pryor, said: “Ever since we established the company in 2004, we have grown consistently. We believe that this is down to a combination of our ‘can-do’ attitude to customer service and the high quality we bring to projects. Mark will be a really positive addition to our senior team as we build on the success of the last ten years. I would like to thank Gale for her tremendous contribution to the growth of Toppesfield over the years and wish her well for the future. ”
Mark Salmon said: “I am really excited to have joined such a dynamic team. The evidence of Toppesfield’s success is all around us, and it’s clear that the company’s culture plays a huge role in this. My prior experience in managing company growth will contribute to Toppesfield’s success going forward.”
