Toppesfield has supported a sports club with an environmentally-friendly surfacing solution, in collaboration with local supply chain.
Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club has benefited from a new car park surfaced by Toppesfield which, as well as the club’s 22 teams and their spectators, provides staff from a nearby hospital with free parking.
Toppesfield produced and laid circa 800 tonnes of cold recycled binder course from its mobile plant which had been mobilised by local planing contractor, Steve Lumley, while completing other projects in the area using its environmentally-friendly product, Toppfoam.
Support from Tarmac and WJ enabled a final surface course to be laid by the Toppesfield team, whose work was completed as part its ‘community days’ whereby operating staff donate one day of their time per year to give back to the community.
WJ provided the lining works which included the Bury RUFC logo to ensure those arriving to support the club receive a special welcome.
True collaboration between all parties meant supporters, players and NHS staff have quality car parking, suitable for an exceptional facility.
