Role Responsbility
We have an exciting opportunity for HGV Lorry Fitter a to join our team, reporting to the Fleet Manager working on our fleet of HGV commercial vehicles you will carry out routine preventive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HGV lorries and trailers to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Attend emergency breakdowns of vehicles and carry out preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure minimum down time.
• MOT preparation, break testing, remedial repairs as directed by the director and as required.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work conducted on vehicles.
• Work closely with the logistics and fleet team to minimise vehicle downtime and ensure efficient fleet management.
• Manage the inventory of parts and materials, ensuring timely availability for repairs and maintenance.
• Promoting good housekeeping within the workshop environment, maintaining allocated work areas in a clean and tidy condition.
Health and Safety
• Carry out risk assessments before commencing work on Lorries and trailers. Ensure compliance with method statements and risk assessments, as required.
